Motomco to Feature Booth at Tocantins’ Largest Agribusiness Fair, Launching the Connect
Motomco will have a booth at Agrotins 2025, the largest agribusiness fair in Tocantins, which begins this Tuesday (May 13) and runs through Saturday (May 17) in Palmas. During the event, the company will showcase its grain moisture and quality measurement solutions — essential technologies for ensuring precision at harvest and efficiency in storage.
Agrotins is considered a strategic event for Tocantins, a state expected to harvest over 5 million tons of soybeans in the 2024/2025 season — a 10% increase over the previous cycle, according to a report from the National Supply Company (Conab). This growth is driven by the expansion of cultivated areas, improved crop management, and favorable weather conditions — all of which strengthen the state’s position as a leading producer in Brazil’s Cerrado region.
According to José de Arimateia Coelho dos Santos Filho, supervisor at Coapa (Agroindustrial Cooperative of Tocantins), the harvest has been excellent, with approximately 90% of the grains classified within market standards.
“The weather cooperated, with rain falling at mostly ideal times. The dry spells were also within normal range, so we didn’t have issues with grain moisture — a crucial factor. The mission now is to properly manage storage to ensure good final results. Post-harvest care is extremely important,” says José de Arimateia.
He emphasizes that keeping grains within market standards depends directly on effective moisture monitoring, both at harvest and during storage.
One of Motomco’s highlights at this year’s Agrotins is the launch of the Connect, its new grain moisture meter suitable for a variety of crops. Portable, automatic, and highly accurate, the device delivers quick and reliable results in just seconds. With this innovation, the company reinforces its commitment to quality throughout the production chain — from harvest to storage.
“Accurate moisture measurement is essential to avoid losses, ensure grain quality, and add value to the final product,” explains Roney Smolareck, Motomco’s agronomist.
He notes that, to preserve soybean quality and increase profitability, the recommended grain moisture at harvest is between 13% and 14%.
“If soybeans are harvested with moisture above the ideal range, producers need to perform artificial drying, which leads to financial deductions, as buyers discount the weight of the excess moisture,” he adds.
Manoella Rodrigues da Silva, Motomco’s Marketing Manager, sees the event as a meeting point for knowledge, business, and innovation, driving the advancement of agriculture. She emphasizes that the company will offer live demonstrations of the Connect, showcasing its features.
Among the Connect’s key advantages is its simple interface, controlled by an exclusive mobile app. The connectivity allows users to share data via WhatsApp, SMS, and email. The app also enables the selection of product curves, viewing of historical data, report generation, and easy data sharing. Another highlight is the long battery life (up to 20 hours) and auto shut-off after three minutes of inactivity. Motomco also offers specialized technical support to ensure optimal equipment performance.
